Having collected fragrances for years I have realized I'm not the biggest fan of Amber BUT before you go, you need to get your nose on this! This scent has an intriguing and addictive quality to it, I can't stop sniffing my arm .
I used only 2 sprays and an hour later took my dog for a 30 min walk. It's cold today with wind chill equal to about -12 degrees. I could smell this wonderful scent on the back of my neck with my winter coat collar fully up!!
The scent itself is very smooth. It is linear as it doesn't change much from the initial spray to dry down except for perhaps the lemon note which fades more after 1-2 hours but don't let that discourage you. This fragrance unlike other Amber frags has something that seems to float above the main notes, which I believe to be the orange which incredibly does not seem to dissipate and fade away. This note keeps the fragrance 'zingy' giving it a lively edge and once the musk comes into play this is something special. I detect woods and though cedarwood is present, to my nose the sandalwood is more so making this luxurious and inviting. One of my fave notes Patchouli becomes more obvious as dry down approaches. This frag is still projecting after 7 or so hours and this leaves a very good scent trail.
I wouldn't advise more than 3 sprays at one time as you may overwhelm someone -2 seems perfect. This is best suited for winter, early Spring and late Autumn chilly nights. "Back Amber" is definitely a masculine fragrance(sorry ladies) and has an 'Air of Distinction' about it! Outstanding quality and backup bottle worthy!
